TURKEY DRESSING



Ingredients

3-5 Celery Stalks, chopped
1 lb. Pork Sausage
2 medium onions, chopped
1 lb. Lean Ground Beef
6-8 diced carrots (par-boiled)
1 Lg. Box Seasoned Dressing
1 cube butter or margarine
1 Lg. Box Seasoned Croutons
1 Tbsp. Sage (or to taste)
2 Cans Turkey or Chicken Stock
1 Tbsp. Poultry Seasoning (to taste)
Burgundy Wine

Optional Ingredients may be added:
1 Cup Toasted Piñon Nuts
1 Cup Raisins (optional)
2 Cups Diced Apples


Directions

Brown sausage in a large pan. Cook until almost done. Drain and finish cooking with the ground beef.

In a separate pan sauté onions, celery and carrots in butter. Add croutons, dressing and seasonings to taste. Add meat mixture, broth & enough wine to moisten dressing. (Careful too much will make it soggy.)

Loosely stuff intoTurkey, and place the remainder in a large casserole dish and cover loosely with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour.
