ENCHILADA SAUCE



Ingredients

3 T lard or shortening
3 T flour
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp garlic salt
3 T chili powder
2 cups water


Directions

Heat lard. Add flour and brown until golden, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add cumin, garlic salt, and chili powder. Mix well. Add water. Return to heat and simmer until hot and bubbly. Yields approximately 2 cups.
